Prospect West, CroydonProspect West in Croydon exemplifies our ability to react quickly to support our clients. Here a major component failed within the then 15 year old boiler plant of the building immediately prior to the critical Autumn/ Winter period when the operation of the heating systems would be essential. The Project involved stripping out the existing boilers, flues, pumps, controls and all associated electrical supplies replacing them with new gas fired boilers, flues, pumps, pipework and associated gas services and gas pressurisation sets.

Argent fiters prefrabricated the pipework so that boilers and ancillary equipment could be quickly connected. Work was complicated by the fact that lower levels of the building were not serviced by lifts and in adition the stairways were too narrow so the biolers had to be lifted to the rooftops by a specialist lifting team.

The project was completed in 6 weeks whilst the building remained occupied with Argent being responsible for the commisioning of plant, water sampling, control systems and the provision of suitable record manuals.

As the client put it.." We are very pleased with the way Argent FM Ltd carried out the successful replacement of the heating plant. The project was carried out in an operational building over as six week period with minimal complaints from occupiers - a success in itself - but the associated works over and above the boiler replacement were a credit to the management and supervision provided by Argent FM."
